We have work based at our Ossett Ambulance Hub and further afield so the ideal candidate will be able and prepared to stay away from home for blocks of shifts.

Our Technician staff will get involved in a wide range of activities so if you like variety – this is the role for you!
From Patient Transport shifts to Air Medical Repatriations, Frontline 999 to Event Cover, Long Distance transfers and even getting involved in delivering training to our staff and commercial customers - this really is a unique position.

Our Technician staff will act as the senior clinician whilst performing PTS, Urgent Care and A&E duties and will work with another Technician, UCSA or Ambulance Transport Attendant. Our Technician staff will also work as part of an emergency crew with a Paramedic.

Our ambulance crew will be a highly visible role model, not only in respect of what you do, but also in the way that you conduct yourself with our patients, the public and colleagues. You’ll be a key part of our ambulance service and as we work 24/7, 365 days a year, means you’ll also need to work flexibly and at different times and from different locations.
Our shift patterns mean that you could work up to 12 hours at a time, including: nights; weekends and bank holidays, over 24 hours a day, in all weathers.

It is essential that applicants hold a current emergency driving certificate.
It is also essential that applicants have a full UK manual driving licence and have one year driving experience with a maximum of 6 penalty endorsements to apply for this post, applications from “non-drivers” will not be considered for full time roles on this occasion.

Please ensure you have fully demonstrated on the application form how you meet the essential criteria from the person specification as initial sifting will be performed against this criterion. Successfully sifted candidates will undergo a written paper and interview.
