AMBULANCE CARE ASSISTANT - Non-Qualified

Heart Medical are looking to recruit Ambulance Care Assistants to provide ambulance cover for the NHS and Private Sector clients as well as at public events.

Location:  Ossett Ambulance Hub
Hours:   Full Time Permanent, average of 40 operational hours per week plus 20 hours per annum CPD

OR Bank Staff 0 Hours

Pay:        £8.00 per hour

Working on a non-emergency ambulance, you’ll be a key part of our ambulance service and as we work 24/7, 365 days a year, which means you’ll also need to work flexibly and at different times. Our shift patterns mean that you could work up to 12 hours at a time, including: nights; weekends and bank holidays, over 24 hours a day, in all weathers.

You’ll literally see life from every angle, at every age and with people from every background.

Key elements of this role involve transferring patents for routine appointments, discharges from A&E or Wards, intra-facility transfer, air medical repatriations and also long distance transfers. ACA staff will also provide event medical cover.

Full training is provided for this role but it is essential that candidates demonstrate on the application form how you meet the essential criteria from the person specification as initial sifting will be performed against this criterion. Successfully sifted candidates will undergo a written paper and interview.

It is essential that applicants have a full UK manual driving licence and have two years driving experience with a maximum of 6 penalty endorsements to apply for this post, applications from “non-drivers” will not be considered for full time roles on this occasion..
